Program Recap (January 28) - Mayor Doug Lawrance: The Municipality of Sioux Lookout Strategic Plan

The club was pleased to have Mayor Doug Lawrance and CAO Anne Mitchell provide a municipal update and discuss the strategic planning process for The Municipality of Sioux Lookout.

Mayor Lawrance discussed the plan's four pillars: Community Development, Community Engagement, Regional Competiveness, and Infrastructure Challenges. The strategic planning community was fortunate to hit the ground running immediately after council was sworn in, and share common visions and goals. We look forward to seeing all they can accomplish in the coming years!

Prior to the Mayor's program, President Clifford presented Mayor Lawrance with honorary membership to the Rotary Club of Sioux Lookout. This honorary membership is for the Office of the Mayor of the Municipality of Sioux Lookout, and will therefore be passed on to each subsequent mayor that holds office. We hope Mayor Lawrance enjoys all the benefits Rotary membership offers.
