22nd Annual Rotary Lobsterfest a Success
The 22nd Annual Lobsterfest hosted by the Rotary Club of Sioux Lookout was a great success!
Approximately 130 residents from as far away as Ignace came together at the Sioux Lookout Golf and Curling Club last Saturday for an evening of great food, fun, fellowship, and fundraising.
Rotary Club members and supporters put on a fantastic event, offering guests a choice of lobster, roasted chicken, or a vegetarian meal. The first guests began arriving around 6:00 p.m., and by 7:00 p.m., everyone was ready for the evening’s main attraction.
A special guest also made an appearance — Larry Clawbert, the event mascot, who added some extra fun to the evening!
The silent auction and Penny Table were a big hit with participants, offering a great selection of prizes generously donated by local individuals and businesses. A special highlight of the evening was the main auction prize: a Blackstone griddle/grill along with 10 pounds of locally sourced hamburger meat. The generous support of our community donors helped make the evening a great success.
All in all, it was a fantastic evening for the community and the Rotary Club of Sioux Lookout. The success of Lobsterfest would not be possible without the support of our guests, volunteers, local businesses, donors, and Rotary members and friends.
